Jesper Løwe
Microadventure - AKA Weekend out Picked up GF from work, and headed up through Jutland, to find a place around Århus to sleep. Perfect spot found at Mariendal strand Link The wind was hard on us but we found a spot behind some trees. Cooked dinner and watched the Light Beacon on Samsø. Next morning the rain was gone but the wind was still hard on the tent, but the awning was sheltered by the car But the view was amazing The day was spent at Moesgaard Museum which is an amazing place, and we only got ½ way through and need a day more for the rest (maybe another weekend) On the way to family dinner we passed @John Nielsen in the forest at Hagsholm (with realizing until a littlte to late) On to family birthday saturday evening and sunday visited friends, which is also keen Land rover owners and overlanders. Back home on the motorway in strong winds and back to work Monday morning ? We need more adventure
Administrators Andreas.E Posted March 18, 2019 Administrators Share Posted March 18, 2019 Looks like a great trip! ?? I love traveling in Denmark, and I will definitely visit this year for some Overlanding and driving on the beach. 2
Jesper Løwe
@Andreas.E we had a nice stay this summer at Sindal Camping where the owner told us that we could go on the beach from the beach at Tannisbugt to Gammel Skagen. He told us that a guest a week ago had done the trip.. So we embarked, with 3 kids and a dog on the car. Went all ok until Kandestederne where the beach turned realy sandy and with big round rocks with sand between that sucked down the car. We soldiered on in 3rd low and 3.000 rpm until we met the BIG HOUSE on the beach.. with no way around we had to turn around and drive back to Kandestederne in 3rd low and 3.000rpm We got out without getting stuck and back on the camp site the owner stated the he couldn´t understand why we couldn´tget of the beach there.. the guy on the ATV had no problem ? I gently told him that there´s a bit of a difference between an ATV and 2ton land rover with rooftop tent and 3 kids A small adventure we won´t forget soon.

Sounds like a fantastic little detour, even if you had to turn around Thx for sharing, and really nice and ispiring photos as well. Agree with @Andreas.E we have to go there!! It wWas a plan for me and family summer 2017 though - but SUMMER NEVER CAME that year... ? With Denmark coverded in clouds, rain and a stable 14-17 degrees we skipped the planned week with tent along the Danish west coast that year...
Jesper Løwe
Warning: NOT much overlanding going on this time... (except from the brand new Ironman 2,5x2,5m awning pickup same day) Helping the girlfriends parents putting their boat in the water proved easy enough 😎 Getting back on "firm ground" was a bit different. The seaweed was firm and stabil to walk on, but 2,5t. land rover was another matter. After digging in the seaweed for an hour, and trying to get something to hold the winch in the meadow ground. we had to call backup. Parkede the 2.5 ton toyota on the meadow road, and put blocks and rocks behind the truck, and yet we pullede it back over the blocks After another hour we we called in another backup... It toke longer to attache the strap then to pull us out Lesson learned... NEVER go anywhere out all the recovery gear (which was home getting packed for next weeks Poland trip) Edited April 8, 2019 by Jesper Løwe 8 1
Jesper Løwe
We have been overlanding. We have spent the first five days of easter on touring the northwest Poland. We started of Friday from home with a well packed car. We made the ferry to Germany and was in In Rostock by 21.00, drove for 2 hours and found a spot on the park4night app. very secluded on the outskirts of Neubrandenburg. Saturday morning we embarked on the ZP-OR track provided by njz.pl and later changed to the ZP-OR 2 - Links to tracks from viewranger i the end of the post. Various tracks where explored. Some dead ends and others great trails off the track, and back on again. The tracks are agricultural backroads ment to go from field to field, and is connected by small drives on public roads. We passed sand excavations, huge pre wall 1989 fall government farms, and military areas. Second night we found this spot, paved, and with a "hut" for dining. It was pure luck, we had just spotted a "clearing on the map" and drove there. Nearby the military area , we meet these guys and girls. A herd of wild Bison. They started as a small herd of some 20 pcs. set out in the wild in 2004 and by 2014 they where 133 animals. Amazing to see them live and "close" We found some great places to stay at night, and the 3rd night we need a bath and tried to book a camp site at Inter Nos Camping. They where closed, but they said we could stay in one of their new hotels rooms. It was a great little hotel. Safely parked at the "Inter Nos" hotel. Small problems at the begning of the next day. Overnight spot Another spot found for the night with a firepit. Dinner and desert, Pizza backed in a casserole on the Coleman Stove, and croissants. After a few days, of gravle roads the girlfriend, who has more offroad experience then me, chose a more "exiting route" And even got me in a spot of "trouble" in a narrow section with a small side drop. With her witt and expertice the winch pulled me out of trouble safe an quickly. We kept on the track Finding more winch sections, until the winch stopped working.. Working for 1/2 hour to figure out why, showed it was a bad grounded wire for the winch motor. With the sandlatters we got out. Trying to tighten the bolt made it snap..👿 So no more winch until we got a new bolt. Driving of the track back in to Drawsko looking to find a m10x110mm bolt. First a building supply shop and then ar hardware store.. We ended up buying a m10x120mm to make sure the field repair would be a succes. After this we went back on the "dusty farm roads" for the rest of the day. Finding it hard to get a overnight spot, we chose to go back towards germany, and the second nigt "paved" place. Lucky for us, as on of our goals for the trip was to see beavers.. And with no luck so far we had given up... Parked the Car and in the water 20 secs later was the beaver swimming. Next morning it was off to Steetin for a starbucks, a city stroll and then head back to Rostock for a ferry to Denmark. Back home 00.15 thursday morning it was 5 magnificent days, out on the "wild" and this is not the last time we go there.. After a few repairs and improvements i´m ready to hit the tracks again. https://my.viewranger.com/track/details/MTAyMzA3MTM= https://my.viewranger.com/track/details/MTAyMzQ3NDI= https://my.viewranger.com/track/details/MTAyNzQ1Nzk= https://my.viewranger.com/track/details/MTAyNzQ1ODE= https://my.viewranger.com/track/details/MTAyNzQ1ODI= https://my.viewranger.com/track/details/MTAyNjAyNjE= https://my.viewranger.com/track/details/MTAyNjQwMjc=

Jesper Løwe
Found some more photos from the trip. Look at the "little" digger on the top of the sand pile Coleman Stove and lamp makes a great camping kitchen. Fire is perfect for staying warm. The Dual Fuel Lamp suffered some damage on the tracks as i forgot to secure it, so now its leaking fuel, so bad i don´t dare to use it before i´ve refurbished it. Jesper Løwe
We where starving for a night out in the tent somewhere.. So Friday night we packed up, and drove north out of town. The plan was to go to spot that was recommended by a mate on the other side of the fjord. We we caught he small ferry, along with a Swedish Amarok, that look like it was ready trips.. Before going to camp we wanted something to eat at a local fish dinner. Here we saw this cute little vw camper with a rooftop tent. Driving to the campsite we found it crowded and overrun with kids and parents.. not the ideal camp for us.. We scouted some more camps and decided to go for a well known and approved camp. Close to home. only a few others where there so we decided to stay. Early morning shot Next morning we pack up up and drove 15 minutes home Edited June 27, 2019 by Jesper Løwe 4

Jesper Løwe
Vacation keep on giving more to see and less time to "report" After Blåhø which was a windy and very "short sighted" experience Whoohoo We found another spot of Trans Euro Trail, and later on spotted the same Horse as @Lars 9k and @Hanna did earlier. Going out of Otta and on the way up to Mysosæter we found a Tollroad leading up the "backside" of the river. Narrow and one lane, crossing this bridge and stream, and then climbing up and up. Spending the night at Rondane Fjellstue, so we could get up and out early the next day. and hike
Jesper Løwe
Sunday morning we headed into Rondane on the bikes. A slow but inclining bike ride of 7 kms lead us to Rundvassbu, where we parkede the bikes and hiked up the valley between Storronden and Vinjeroden. when reaching 1.800 meters we turned around and hiked back down. Went for a Coffe and waffel at the Fjellstation and biked back out to the car. Longing for a bath after a hard days "work" we found a campsite in Atna with the most entertaining show of "autocamperdance" where several campers "danced" around the same spot to get a better view of the river then the other and obstruct the others from have a better view... finally they all settled down, and the show was over. Here we also came across on the campers from Articcampers.no, sadly i didn´t have a chance to look inside. (Website photo) The concept seems pricey but still.. get you camper at Tromsø and leave it at the airport in Oslo... Monday we headed off to see the Snöhetta reindeer observatory.. An amazing piece of building overlooking the Dovre National park and the Snöhetta Peak (somewhere in the clouds) Walking the ½ hour up to the observatory, we heard roaring engines.. Turned around a saw this lout climbing the road behind us. Love what i belive was a Häglgglunds personnel carrier. At the Norks Vegmuseum, we had seen that road 27 was a National Scenery Road, and drove it from north to south, getting our lunch at Solbergs Plass Looking out for a place to stay, we used park4night and had spotted a place just on the banks of Glomma elven. The place turned out to be "occupied" by a german blueberry picker and a husband somewhere on a rock in the river. We decided to stay anyway, hoping for them to clear out once he had done fishing. Sure enough the vanished after few hours of her waiting around in the BMW that she impatiently moved 5 or 6 times .... A bit later then us an Italien WV Calefornia arrived and parked on the opposite end of the clearing in the forest.. As we got to talk he was a frequent visitor fishing and sleeping around Glomma for 4 weeks by now and was back for his 12th year of fishing these waters. He had spare fish which we got and cooked on the grill. Playing around with the drone made him curious, and wanted to look.. so we made a selfie (something i rarely do...) Still trying to get the hang of this drone flying and shooting video.. .. Please ignore the music, which i believe comes from the DJI software... After a great nights sleep and a magnificent morning we headed out again around noon. (a bit late but what it was vacation) just 10 minutes down the road we came across this big guy.. which we initially thought we missed somewhere on the road.. Not that its THAT easy to miss.. Next to come.. Osdalsveien. 8
Landmann
Vilken smart "grej"! Har tänkt bygga liknande men bara med en arm, det blir ju ännu bättre med två så man kan ha bordet på sidan av bilen också. Vad kommer den ifrån eller har du byggt den från scratch?
