  1. A quick history before I get into the questions, I recently bought a dual battery split charge system for the landy. With room tight in and under my landy I've bought a replacement dual battery holder (panel) to fit in place of the original single battery holder that sits under the passenger seat. OK, with placing dual battery's under the passenger seat I can no longer have the same size battery as I have today, I can't have anything longer that 278mm. The thought in my head is that with 2 lower amperage battery's under the seat, It would be best to wire them together for winching for max effectiveness. I did find this picture on the internet that is simple to follow: I have in the garage 4 extra Warn Winch solenoids, which I can't find any specifications on them. The question that I have is based on the above picture, can I use a Warn winch solenoid in place of the upright solenoid? And would there be any complications by doing the above wires including the dual split charge system? My goal is to have the dual battery charge system for overlanding of course plus the extra power of 2 battery's when needed for winching. Write back in Sv, my writing grammar is poor, but I can read. ? Todd.
  2. Here are some Wheel nuts that you are looking for on Bildelsbasen. https://www.bildelsbasen.se/se-sv/LandRover/LANDROVER-DEFENDER/2007_2016/Fälgar-&-Däck-&-Tillbehör/Hjulmutter-&-Bult-&-Sats/Alla/ID-33540136/ The next time you drive through Nybro, stop in. /Todd.

    Däck och fälg

True! Earlier this year bought 4 new KO2 tires, with one began blistering after only 20mil. BFG immediately told me NOT to drive on that tire as it was unsafe BUT it took them 2 weeks to investigate and make a decision to finally replace the tire. Then after that it took another 2 or more weeks to finally get the replacement tire. The tire was thoroughly examined afterwards and it was determined that the vulcanization of the outer rubber to the sidewall cords separated. Myself I don't trust the monkeys that work at our local tire firms, they can't even be bothered to look in a door jam to see what is the correct tire pressures for a specific car, they just inflate till they are happy, then the monkeys use those ***^*^*^* airguns to tighten the wheel nuts without taking the time to use a momentum wrench to correctly tighten the wheel nuts on alu rims. I've always taken my tires to Finnveden where they are experienced with larger tires, they have always (in Nybro anyways) been for more professional.
  4. Is that universal or is it a Jeep thing? That would fit nicely in the Landy if it was universal. Todd.
  5. I second Tuna Chilli Pasta, it's my favorite and Chicken Sweet and Sour is Ulla's choice. Funny thing is, today I bought 15 meals from outnorth.se they have a summer sale on, buy 5 pay for 4. We use them mainly for lunch time meals - quick & easy - which help to carry us over till we reach our destination later in the day when we have some nice meat over an open fire.
  6. We enjoyed our weekend with overlanding.nu gang in Darlana. The highlight for us was meeting new people with the same interests as us and checking out the other vehicles and their equipment. .....new ideas for the Land Rover......door seals maybe.... ?? I look out the window as the rain falls here in Nybro, I realize how fortunate we were for the 4 days in Darlana to have such great weather. Plus I have to add our sincere thanks to the guys who put all the effort into such a nice weekend. Hats off to everyone, thank you! I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked but here are a few:
  7. Was wondering ??..... The fall meet we all were required to bring some firewood, are we doing the same again or is there firewood avail at each campsite? There are no fire restrictions in place is there? /Todd.
  8. I'll drag the old girl out of bed screaming and yelling, we will NOT be late. ?
  9. That was the "first plan" but we are changing windows in the house right now so we can't leave Nybro till Friday morning. ?
  10. Everything was going along well with getting the landy ready and packing it, till I found 8 blisters in the sidewall of one of my new BFG KO2 tires. Not impressed!!!! The supplier in Stockholm is apparently waiting for a reply from BFG if they will accept my claim. What a load a dog dodo! What ever happen to warranty's? .....anyways don't matter, I'll put the 35's back on tomorrow and we will be in Charlottenberg with plenty of time to roam around the mall.
  11. Det finns fortfarande 8 veckor till vårträff, det ska torka upp då. ?
  12. Last weekend outside of Vetlanda, still cold with frozen lakes and plenty of snow on the trails with @David Johansson

  14. After 3 years of use it's now time to impregnate the material on the RTT. Searching the internet I've bought Sunbrella Fabric Guard 303 at seasea.se The fabric guard comes in a spray bottle but I'm not very impressed with the spray pattern from the hand pump therefore looking for solutions to pray the liquid on the RTT. In my mind I would like to use something that creates a fine mist which allows the fabric guard to evenly cover the RTT material. ......I'm actually thinking that the air compressor with the paint sprayer might work. ? The plastic pressure sprayer that I have, well it must have had water in it sometime the last 2 years as it is cracked along the seam on the bottom, so that idea ended quickly. ? Instead of running into town and buying something else, I'm wondering what is everyone else using as a sprayer? Todd.

  16. NICE! Writing Swedish grammar is not my strong point, that's why I write in English so often. Thank you for the courteous addition of this forum, it will be used. ? Todd.
  17. my two cents: Aug would work for us. We are on Bornholm the last week of Juli, Aug is free and then 7-9 Sept I have Småland Traxx. I would assume that there would be a fall meet again at the end of Sept or early Okt.
  18. Tack Jag är verkligen nöjd med min Landy. /Todd.
  19. Merry Christmas God Jul önskar Ulla-Britt och Todd.
  20. We made it back to Nybro Monday evening, within 2 hours the Land Rover was unpacked and the rooftop tent was in the garage opened airing/drying out til the next time. Our first trip with Overlanding.nu was one to not forget. Excellent group of people and vehicles that traveled roads and made camp in places that I know we would never have found on our own. The weather and snow made the trip even more exciting for us, sitting around the roaring campfire at night with a cold beer was a great ending to each day. Our hats off to Thorstein & Oywind for their first time putting together a trip like this, I look forward to following them again on another overlanding trip. ? Mvh, Todd & Ulla.
  21. Weather is looking great for our trip this weekend. Fingers crossed that we may see the northern lights. ?
  22. When I had beadlock rims I used balancing beads. The easiest way I've read on the Land Rover forums and what I actually did is remove the tire, remove the air and break the bead of the tire on one side. Drop in the balancing beads and the refill with air. Literally 15 mins per tire. Todd.
  23. Welcome William. My first 4x4 in Canada was a 1987 Dodge Raider an early version of the Pajero. A robust vehicle that will serve you well! My tip for a beginner is that you started with the right size of vehicle, small...... To equip your truck for adventures think of what you "need" not what you want. With a small vehicle, think small & lightweight when when buying and don't be afraid to experiment or fail. Also don't be afraid to ask questions. ? /Todd.
